WEIGHT:
HEALTH: Miki is UTD on vaccinations — including rabies — and is on monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventative
STERILIZED: Spayed
MICROCHIPPED: Yes
DOGS: Gets along fine with other dogs
CATS: Shows no prey drive, so a dog-savvy cat in the home would be fine.
CHILDREN: Fine going to a home with older children … as her size and energy could knock down an unsuspecting toddler.
HOUSEBROKEN: Yes
CRATETRAINED: Yes
LEASH MANNERS: Needs some work
CAR RIDES: Good
FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Miki is a sweet, somewhat insecure, loving dog. If someone takes the time, she is highly trainable as she is eager to please. She soaks in the praise much more than treats, though treats are always welcome!

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Miki lived in a Raleigh neighborhood. Her person didnt get her spayed so when she went into heat, she jumped the fence and went to have a good time. She came home afterwards but of course, she had become pregnant. So her person chose to get rid of her. One of her persons neighbors found out about it and saved Miki from the pound by taking her into her own home. And then she made the rounds of contacting local animal rescue groups. BFPA was the lucky group that Miki was taken in by! She gave birth to seven puppies on Christmas Eve 2010. All wonderful puppies that were given names associated with the happy holiday!
