- ABOUT GABBY
STATUS: Accepting applications.
PERSONALITY: Very affectionate once you gain her trust, smart, calm, but can be easily scared hearing loud noises, seeing unfamiliar things.
~DOB: November 2009
WEIGHT: 45lbs.
HEALTH: Gabby is UTD on all vaccinations — including rabies — and on monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventatives.
STERILIZED: Spayed
MICROCHIPPED: Yes
DOGS: Gabby loves other dogs and we believe she would be most comfortable in a home with another dog to be her pal.
CATS: Untested, but she has such a gentle nature and is a Hound, so we think she’s be fine in a home with cats.
CHILDREN: Gabby needs a quiet home, so children should be older and know how to be calm around a dog.
HOUSEBROKEN: Yes.
CRATETRAINED: Yes.
LEASH MANNERS: Gabby has fine leash manners.
CAR RIDES: Gabby enjoys riding in the car.
FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Gabby is a loving and affectionate girl. She will cuddle up and prefers nothing more than lying next to her favorite people. Gabby is also incredibly smart, and picks up on things very quickly. Potty training her was a breeze.
Gabby had a very tough past, but she opened up in our home once she learned to trust and felt secure. She loves our dog and is very affectionate with her. She can be very goofy and playful at times, though most often, youâll find her just lounging on the couch or in her crate. She loves being in her crate and sleeps soundly all night. Gabby has only barked a couple of times, when playing, and does not ever bark otherwise.
Once adopted, it will take a few weeks for Gabby to start coming around, but I have no doubt that she will love her caretakers fully.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Gabby and her sister, Abbey, were rescued from a vet practice in Dunn, NC, where they were languishing. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.
